We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to support supplier identification, factory qualification, vendor onboarding, production follow-up, and sourcing execution across India while working closely with global buying teams.

Role Overview

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a critical role in expanding and managing Dollar Tree's supplier network in India. You will evaluate manufacturing partners, coordinate onboarding activities, support sourcing execution, and ensure suppliers meet quality, compliance, delivery, and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Identification & Qualification

• Identify and evaluate factories capable of meeting production, quality, capacity, and delivery requirements.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments covering manufacturing capacity, operational maturity, scalability, and product expertise.
• Assess supplier readiness to support global retail sourcing programs.
• Maintain supplier evaluation records and recommendations.

Vendor Development & Onboarding

• Coordinate supplier onboarding activities, documentation collection, and process alignment.
• Support factory registration, system setup, and operational readiness activities.
• Ensure suppliers understand Dollar Tree quality, compliance, packaging, and operational requirements.
• Build strong working relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners.

Sourcing Execution & Production Follow-Up

• Track purchase orders, production schedules, shipment readiness, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely production and issue resolution.
• Monitor sourcing milestones and proactively escalate risks impacting timelines or quality.
• Support packaging, labeling, documentation, and shipment coordination activities.

Supplier Performance Management

• Monitor supplier responsiveness, execution quality, and delivery performance.
• Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities within the supplier network.
• Support supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Partner with sourcing teams to strengthen supplier relationships and sourcing outcomes.

Compliance & Stakeholder Coordination

• Maintain awareness of social compliance, labor, environmental, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Coordinate closely with US-based buyers, sourcing managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support supplier compliance reviews and operational governance requirements.
• Ensure sourcing activities align with organizational standards and expectations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor development, merchandising support, buying-office operations, supply chain support, or factory-facing roles.
• Strong understanding of supplier qualification, factory assessments, and sourcing operations.
• Experience managing supplier communication, purchase-order follow-up, production tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, sourcing processes, and supplier performance management.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable working with international stakeholders and global sourcing teams.
• Open to working on-site in Gurugram.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail sourcing, consumer goods, FMCG, merchandising, import-export, or global sourcing environments.
• Exposure to supplier audits, compliance requirements, packaging standards, and factory onboarding.
• Experience supporting US, European, or global buying organizations.
• Understanding of sourcing operations across multiple product categories.
