Your Responsibilities:

Procurement for Drug Product - OSD Manufacturing:

  • Source Raw Material API, Excipients, solvents, and packaging materials.
  • Ensure uninterrupted production by timely procurement, including import materials.
  • Collaborate with planning/Warehouse teams for stock maintenance during scale-ups.
  • Maintain a high level of satisfaction among key suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring timely deliveries.

Procurement for Drug Substance - API Manufacturing:

  • Source API, Intermediates, Solvents, and raw materials domestically and internationally.
  • Manage solvents & General Raw materials during Commercial project scale-ups.
  • Establish separate tracking mechanisms for global shipments.
  • Ensure a high on-time delivery rate for raw materials to support uninterrupted production schedules.

Global Procurement:

  • Implement strategies to reduce lead times, enhancing agility and responsiveness in the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to maintain and improve raw material quality standards, minimizing non-conformities.
  • Develop and monitor supplier performance metrics, including quality, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Streamline and improve procurement processes, reducing cycle times and enhancing overall efficiency.

Planning & Scheduling:

  • Utilize production planning knowledge for effective scheduling (25% of time).
  • Coordinate closely with PPIC for seamless production planning.

CMO & Vendor Management:

  • Conduct spend management and strategy preparation.
  • Facilitate vendor identification, development, and risk mitigation.
  • Arrange and participate in vendor audits along with QA.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies.
  • Monitor statutory books/records and adhere to SEZ rules and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of bidding processes and contracting.

Alternative Vendor Development and Cost Savings:

  • Arrange samples and documents for alternative vendor development.
  • Continuously update and review alternative vendor development sheets.
  • Participate in strategic procurement for cost-effective solutions.
  • Support FY budget preparation with updated pricing.
  • Implement strategies to reduce lead times, enhancing agility and responsiveness in the supply chain.

ERP System:

  • Preferably experienced with SAP.
  • Ensure P2P process compliance, PR to PO conversion, and report generation.
  • Familiarity with procurement-related T codes in SAP.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical procurement RM's in particular.
  • Strong knowledge of Project management & and planning.
  • Familiarity with global procurement practices.
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
  • Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems.
