Description

A results-driven procurement professional with 5-7 years of working experience managing end-to-end sourcing and category strategies across MHE capex, equipment, packaging, and consumables. Combines a strong engineering foundation with economics-driven commercial acumen to deliver cost-efficient, scalable procurement solutions. Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects, building long-term supplier strategies, and driving procurement transformation aligned with organizational growth objectives

Key job responsibilities

Lead end-to-end procurement processes for capex category for Material handling solutions/equipment and spare parts/services across Amazon fulfillment network and manage day to day escalations

Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers, Manage strategic supplier relationships, performance reviews, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation. Drive improvements in quality, lead times, and total cost of ownership.

Negotiate contracts and service level agreements ensuring optimal cost, quality, and compliance standards subsequently deliver year-on-year cost reduction and Maintain clear savings realization and budget visibility.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, Partner with engineering, operations, finance, and legal to translate business needs into sourcing strategies.

Compliance & Process Ensure adherence to procurement policies, audit requirements, and ethical sourcing standards. Drive continuous process improvement.

Run concurrent procurement projects with defined timelines and milestones. Track progress and report to senior leadership.

Market Intelligence Monitor market trends and supplier landscape shifts. Evaluate innovative procurement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain management, engineering, business management or other relevant field
  • 7+ years of supply chain experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Knowledge of cost metrics and ability to drive cost improvements as an enterprise program with operations and other stakeholders
  • Experience with data and analysis tools including Microsoft Excel and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
