Job Description – Procurement Manager

Location: Coimbatore/ Papua New Guinnea (PNG is our project location, might have to travel in case of any requirement)

Experience: 5–10 Years

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

Role Summary

Responsible for end-to-end procurement for construction projects, with a strong focus on civil materials sourcing from international markets, especially China. Ensures cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement planning, sourcing, and purchasing activities

Source civil construction materials globally, with emphasis on China-based suppliers

Handle vendor identification, evaluation, and relationship management

Lead tendering, negotiations, and contract finalization

Oversee international logistics, shipping, and customs coordination

Ensure timely delivery of materials to project site in Papua New Guinea

Monitor costs and ensure alignment with project budgets

Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements

Requirements

5–10 years of procurement experience in construction/infrastructure

Proven experience in civil procurement and sourcing from China would be an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of international procurement and logistics

Experience working on overseas/remote projects preferred

Willingness to travel internationally

Key Skills

Vendor negotiation & contract management

Global sourcing & supply chain coordination

Cost control & commercial acumen

Strong communication & stakeholder management
