Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager / Accountant to manage strategic sourcing, tendering, vendor negotiations, and cost control for interior fit-out projects. This role also involves handling core accounting responsibilities, including purchase entries, GST & TDS reconciliation, and coordination with auditors. The role requires close collaboration with project execution teams across multiple locations in India to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement and financial accuracy.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end tendering bid preparation, evaluation, and award of contracts.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify requirements and prepare tender documentation. Evaluate bids for cost, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain rate contracts for C&I, MEP, AV, IT, etc.
- Negotiate best-in-market payment terms and contractual conditions.
- Monitor contract performance, compliance, and renewals.
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and implement improvement strategies.
- Maintain an active vendor database for quick decision-making and procurement readiness.
- Resolve operational challenges with vendors and site teams efficiently.
- Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist project teams in budget development, forecasting, and cost control.
- Suggest value-engineering strategies to optimize project budgets.
- Track procurement timelines and ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Daily book-keeping of purchases, sales, and bank transactions.
- GST and TDS reconciliation and coordinate with the auditor for filing.
- Raising a supplier PO after negotiating the final rate.
Skills required:
- Graduated in commerce- BCOM/ MCOM
- 58 years of relevant experience in procurement/tendering/vendor management, preferably from a construction or interior design background.
- Proven negotiation, analytical, and cost-control skills.
- Strong Excel / data-management proficiency.
- High ownership, strategic mindset, and ability to multitask across vendors and projects
