Job Description
Reporting to Head Procurement you will:
- Manage direct procurement strategies to meet objectives within the chemical industry.
- Identify and develop relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast procurement needs and plan accordingly.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Stay updated on market trends and industry practices to optimise sourcing strategies.
- Ensure robust sourcing strategies, supplier partnerships, cost optimization, risk management, and compliance across all categories.
The Successful Applicant
- Holds a bachelor's degree in engineering; MBA Preferred
- Brings 15+ years of experience in chemical raw material procurement
- Demonstrates expertise in negotiation, system implementation, and digital procurement platforms
- Possesses excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, team development, and execution speed under dynamic environments
