Job Description

Responsibilities

Manage daily procurement activities for materials, equipment, spare parts and services.
Review MRP requirements and plan purchases based on demand, inventory levels and lead times.
Source and evaluate local and overseas suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, reliability to meet required specifications.
Obtain quotations, conduct price comparisons and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
Prepare POs and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor inventory levels, open POs and material shortages to ensure sufficient stock availability.
Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Warehouse and Technical teams on material requirements.
Resolve supplier issues relating to pricing, quality, quantity and delivery.
Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information in the system.
Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and alternative sourcing.
Support project/product sourcing and other procurement activities as required.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement/purchasing experience.
Experience in MRP, inventory planning and ERP systems preferred.
Experience in industrial, engineering or technical products will be an advantage.
Good negotiation, analytical and supplier management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Able to work independently with good communication and coordination skills.
