ABOUT THE ROLE
Position: Mid-Level Procurement Executive
We are looking for a Mid-Level Procurement Executive to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and lead cost-saving initiatives. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of procurement experience, a solid understanding of procurement processes, and excellent negotiation skills. This role involves analyzing procurement data, developing strategies for cost reduction, and ensuring that procurement activities are aligned with the company's overall goals.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions. Draft, review, and manage contracts to ensure they align with company policies.
- Manage supplier relationships, including resolving performance issues and conducting regular evaluations.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies and improve procurement efficiency. Evaluate potential suppliers based on their track records, product quality and price.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement activities align with company objectives.
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that materials meet the required quality and safety standards.
- Utilize procurement software and tools to gather and analyze data related to procurement activities, supplier performance, cost metrics, CSR, and sustainability. Prepare regular reports for management to aid in decision-making.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Promote sustainable and responsible sourcing practices within the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of procurement experience.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in direct & in-direct procurement is mandatory, especially previously heavily procuring Premiums/POSM
- Based out of Mumbai
