We are seeking a passionate Procurement Engineer with strong technical knowledge of automation hardware, control systems ,electrical & electronic components to join our growing engineering and supply chain team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for automation and electrical materials including DDC,PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, control panels, sensors, field instruments, relays, and wiring accessories.
- Handle end-to-end project procurement from RFQ preparation, vendor evaluation, technical-commercial comparison, negotiation, purchase order release, to delivery follow-up.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for automation products and engineering services.
- Collaborate with the engineering and project execution teams to ensure technical compatibility and timely material delivery as per project schedule.
- Optimize procurement costs through competitive sourcing, long-term supplier relationships, and cost analysis.
- Maintain detailed documentation for BOM (Bill of Materials), vendor data, and procurement tracking.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, ISO standards, and company procurement policies.
- Coordinate with logistics for timely receipt, inspection, and dispatch of materials.
- Prepare and maintain periodic procurement reports, cost analysis, and vendor performance metrics.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements and automation within the procurement workflow.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: B.E (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering.)
- Experience: 25 years in procurement or purchase within Building & Industrial automation / BMS / control panel / instrumentation domains.
- Strong technical understanding of automation components (PLC, HMI, VFD, MCC, DDC, SCADA, etc.).
- Familiarity with leading brands like Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Delta, and Allen Bradley is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, and project tracking tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, manage timelines, and maintain procurement quality.
