Description
The Procurement Engineer Electrical will be responsible for sourcing and procuring electrical components and systems to support project requirements. This role involves developing procurement strategies, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage procurement strategies for electrical components and systems.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timelines.
- Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to understand procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in procurement activities.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure standards are met.
- Prepare reports and presentations on procurement metrics and supplier performance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically for electrical components.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and electrical components.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market trends and supplier performance.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
