Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Buyer to manage and drive the procurement function across multiple warehouses (WH) in various locations, with a particular focus on Pharma procurement at the cluster level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling procurement processes in diverse states/cities, establishing strong vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient procurement operations within set timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Oversee and drive the procurement function for multiple warehouses (WH) across various locations.
- Manage Pharma procurement at the cluster level, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess and fulfill procurement requirements effectively.
Vendor Management & Relations:
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring long-term collaboration and reliable supply chains.
- Identify and scout potential vendors across multiple markets to source products, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Establish and hold strong vendor relations, securing the best deals while ensuring product quality and availability.
Negotiation & Sourcing:
- Use strong negotiation skills to secure the best deals on products and services.
- Manage the negotiation process, ensuring cost-effective procurement within company budgets.
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms, especially for Pharma supplies.
Process Improvement:
- Optimize procurement processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality assurance.
- Monitor product supply, inventory levels, and vendor performance to minimize delays and operational inefficiencies.
Reporting & Data Handling:
- Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor databases.
- Handle procurement dashboards and reports for leadership, utilizing MS Excel, Google Sheets, and other tools to track performance and key metrics.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in Pharma procurement at the cluster level and managing procurement for multiple warehouses across diverse markets/states.
- Vendor Management: Strong ability to build and sustain vendor relations, with a proven track record of managing vendor partnerships effectively.
- Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating competitive pricing and terms with vendors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Dashboard Management.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently and within set deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
- Familiarity with Pharma industry regulations and standards.
- Previous experience managing procurement in a multi-location or multi-state environment.
