We are seeking an experienced Process Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in P&ID development and 3D modeling for process skids and plant piping systems. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with practical knowledge of Life Science and biotech facility design requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and GMP requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Create and review Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) following industry standards and GMP requirements.
- Develop 3D models for process skids and plant piping systems using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, REVIT).
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, and automation engineers.
- Ensure compliance with ASME BPE standards.
- Work on the design and engineering of process equipment and systems for the biopharma industry.
- Provide technical input and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to implementation.
- Maintain excellent attention to detail in all design and documentation work.
- Collaborate effectively with a team while also being able to work independently on assigned tasks.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in P&ID development and 3D modeling for process skids and plant piping systems.
- Experience with modular/skid design.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sterilization processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D and REVIT.
- Knowledge of Life science/biotech facility design requirements and ASME BPE standards.
- Understanding of GMP requirements.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
