Process Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Support the Process Engineering Management with the assessment of his/her team's skills/competencies and the creation of individual development plans for his/her direct reports.

• Assist the MPS Process Engineering Manager with recruitment and undertake technical interviews as required.

• Process Engineering activities part of the Process Engineer Job Description such as:

o Ensure all his/her own engineering and design work performed meets quality, cost and schedule requirements.

o Process Design Engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, Process Optimization, sizing & selection of equipment, depressurization calculations and flare network studies etc. for Tenders (as required) and for awarded Projects.

o Preparation of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Heat and Mass balance, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control philosophy, shutdown philosophy, HAZOP actions close out, Operation & maintenance manuals etc.

o Review of vendor and subcontractor documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations to check compliance with project requirements.

o Ensure direct, effective and timely communications of project requirements, request for actions, responses to requests, routine reporting and sharing important information to Project Lead Engineer.

o Be fully aware of and implement, where appropriate, the latest Industry Standards, Codes of Practice, software and requirements of good engineering practice for all work performed.

o Review and understand client specifications during proposal phase and raise clarifications and deviations.

o Provide process input data to others disciplines and support to Operations & Site team on engineering/technical matters, including pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and/or trouble shooting.

o Ability and willingness to travel, as required to fulfill project and business needs.

o Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.
