Position: Process Associate - BD Location: Gurugram

Overview: We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and analytical Process Associate to join the Central Team within the BD Department at zingbus. This role requires a strong understanding of data, systems thinking, and financial workflows. The ideal candidate should be able to work with large datasets, identify discrepancies, and communicate insights in a simple and effective manner to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payout Management & Process Efficiency

Analyze raw financial and operational data to ensure accurate payouts to business partners

Identify and flag discrepancies in payout calculations and workflows

Continuously improve and streamline processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors

2. Query Handling & Discrepancy Resolution

● Address queries raised by business partners regarding payouts, settlements, and summaries

● Provide ad-hoc data and explanations in a clear, simple, and structured manner

● Proactively check in with business partners through regular connect programs and structured touchpoints to identify and address potential issues before they escalate

● Build strong one-to-one relationships with operators and their teams to continuously understand challenges and drive timely resolution

● Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies within defined timelines

3. Data Analysis for Supply Intelligence

●Work extensively with large datasets using Excel (or similar tools)

●Generate reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for stakeholders

●Analyze trends and patterns to support decision-making

4. SOP Definition & Compliance Enforcement

●Define, document, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for supply operations

●Ensure adherence to SOPs during onboarding and daily partner operations

●Maintain system hygiene and ensure all critical checks are consistently followed

● Ensure accurate and timely input of data relating to agreements, addendums, contracts, and related related items into system to maintain compliance and data integrity

5. Process Improvement & System Thinking

●Identify gaps in current workflows and recommend scalable solutions

●Work closely with product and analytics teams to enhance system capabilities

●Ensure processes are designed to work efficiently at scale

6. Documentation & Departmental Initiatives

●Maintain structured records of key workflows, discrepancies, and resolutions for transparency and tracking

●Prepare periodic summaries and insights for internal stakeholders

●Contribute to departmental initiatives within the BD Department that require similar analytical and operational skill sets or collaborate with multiple dept to ensure system data accuracy and operator compliance

Requirements

●Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

●Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

●Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables; knowledge of SQL is a plus)

●Familiarity with financial data and reconciliation processes

●High ownership mindset with strong sincerity towards timelines and deliverables

●Ability to understand systems and explain complex concepts in simple terms

●Strong communication and problem-solving skills

●Sound understanding of accounting terms is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

●0–2 years of experience in process-oriented roles across central operations, accounts, or analytics

●Experience in startups or B2B2C business environment is a plus
