Overview of the Data Management Group (DMG)

DMG is a highly strategic pillar of Gain.pros research vertical (Private Equity Intelligence), responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality and accuracy of our research content, by regularly updating outdated company profiles and other data sets. Our ambition is to scale up this team to 150+ FTE in 3 years. We are looking to add high caliber, experienced individuals, motivated for a high growth career path in a relatively new and highly strategic part of our organization.

What does the role entail

As a DMG Associate, you will be responsible to manage and scale a best-in-class research team with a remit to own the updates process for multiple regions globally

Reporting to the DMG Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a sizeable team of DMG analysts and senior analysts who are involved in the updates process

Your role will entail:

  • Research and Knowledge management: you deliver on the updates targets for your regions, always ensuring the highest quality standards of financial, market and business research on our platform. Identify best practices to drive continuous efficiency and process improvements
  • Quality guardianship: you regularly carry out reviews of the updates executed by your team, identify quality issues and address them e.g. via trainings.
  • Recruitment: you will actively support the hiring of research analysts to meet the groups headcount and content targets
  • Team management: you train, develop and motivate team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and personal and professional growth
  • Strategic initiatives: you continuously identify and own improvement opportunities and execute data improvement initiatives in the DMG group
  • Technology: you identify and drive technical initiatives to automate our workflow even further

Your ownership mindset will be equally important as your hands-on/getting things done attitude

What do you need to join us

5+ years of experience; latest in a mid-level role for a shared services/competence centre for Strategy Consultant, Global IBD, Big 4 or research centre based in India. Previous experience and affinity with the PE & VC market is a plus

You have worked in the financial/professional services industry and have a strong interest in this area

Successfully managed a team size of 10 or more FTEs

Intrigued by and experienced in detailed company analysis and research

World-class communication skills
