Job Description

Salary up to 4 LPA based on experience and current salary.

We are seeking a detail-oriented PCB Design Engineer to take ownership of our hardware development from concept to manufacturing. You will be responsible for schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and ensuring designs meet EMI/EMC standards. You will work closely with the Embedded Software team to ensure hardware-firmware compatibility.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

1. Schematic Capture & Component Selection

Circuit Design: Create robust digital and analog circuit schematics based on system requirements (Power management, MCU interfacing, Sensor integration).

Component Engineering: Select optimal components based on cost, availability (supply chain), and technical specs. Create and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM).

Library Management: Create and maintain a verified library of schematic symbols and PCB footprints (IPC-7351 standard) in KiCad/Altium.

2. PCB Layout & Routing

Stack-up Design: Design multi-layer PCB stack-ups (2, 4, and 6 layers) considering impedance control and signal integrity.

Routing: Perform efficient manual routing for critical signals (Differential pairs, USB, SPI, I2C).

Power Integrity: Design stable power distribution networks (PDN), ensuring proper ground planes, return paths, and decoupling capacitor placement.

3. Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Compliance

DFM/DFA Checks: Optimize layouts for mass production (Fabrication and Assembly). Ensure track widths, via sizes, and clearances meet manufacturer capabilities.

EMI/EMC Standards: Design boards to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensure ESD protection. Prepare designs for certification (CE/FCC) testing.

Documentation: Generate manufacturing files (Gerbers, Drill files, Pick & Place coordinates) and assembly drawings.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics (EC/IC/Electrical).

Tool Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in KiCad

Layer Experience: Proven experience designing 4-layer PCBs (Signal-Ground Power-Signal stack-up) is mandatory.

Tools Focus: KiCad (Preferred), Altium Designer, or Eagle

Working Hours/ Shift Timings: 9:30am to 6:30pm
