PCB Design Engineer (Printed Circuit Board)

About the Role
As a PCB design engineer, you are responsible for developing PCB designs according to project requirements, including placement, routing, and panel PCB in the business area architecture & networking. You work together with different disciplines and competent fields. You are responsible for technical specifications in the field of PCB design under consideration of quality, costs, and manufacturability.
In detail, you are in charge of:
- Collecting PCB impacts from different domains
- Estimating PCB design workload & schedule
- Technology selection, Transfer of constraints to PCB design, Design creation & check
- Performing of periodic intermediate reviews with all relevant domains
- Handling documents and outputs in product data management systems
- Support of PCB sourcing's
- Applying structured problem-solving methods in an effective way
- Leading of project-based design teams
- Support for cross-discipline and cross-location cooperation
- Support for acquisition projects
- Contributing to developing processes and methods
- Support of competence and knowledge management
- Contribution to developing new work methods and technologies
Qualifications
- University master's or bachelor's in electronic engineering
Required Skills
- Experience in PCB design & Manufacturing
- Knowledge of PCB (EDA) Design Environments
- Knowledge of Design Guidelines, Standards & Regulations, Printed Circuit Technologies
- Comprehension of electrical circuits
- Understanding of electrical component behaviors, knowledge of specific electrical requirements (high speed)
- 3D comprehension for mental and interactive realization of printed circuit boards (multilayer technique)
- Communication capabilities
- Capability to take initiative
- Capability to analyze technical problems
- Language skills (English)
- Ability to identify electrical and technical parameters with influence on the PCB design
- Communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in local/cross-border design teams
