Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Technical Leadership:
- Deliver project work within agreed fees and deadlines.
- Attend to project and site technical matters.
- Serve as client contact for smaller or less complex projects when required.
- Construct and manage project teams, including internal and external resources.
- Procure project resources and liaise with authorities.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to internal procedures development.
Design & Engineering:
- Lead the preparation of drawings, calculations, and PHE system reports.
- Review drawings and calculations prepared by other engineers.
- Design PHE systems including water supply, sewage, irrigation, swimming pools, and solid waste management.
- Perform hydraulic and pump head calculations, and create single-line diagrams for systems.
- Ensure spatial planning coordination with architects, structural, and other engineering consultants.
- Prepare specifications, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
Compliance & Standards:
- Apply and maintain compliance with NFPA codes (13, 14, 20) and local standards such as NBC, UPC, ASPE, IPC, and local bye-laws.
- Conduct life cycle cost analysis for various systems and prepare water consumption charts.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, quality, and training policies.
- Contribute to project QA policies and their implementation.
Project Support & Coordination:
- Assist during vendor bidding and negotiation meetings to address technical queries.
- Coordinate across departments, including Electrical and HVAC, to ensure well-integrated design solutions.
- Maintain office filing systems and support procedural documentation updates.
