Principal Software Engineer

• Design and Development of FIC Intraday Risk platform.
• Understand technical requirements and responsible for designing solution, implementation, testing and L3 support.
• Regular interaction with global technical stakeholders for requirement analysis, solution/approach, testing, status updates etc.
• Deliver high quality change within timelines.
• Perform unit testing.
• Support SIT, UAT and Regression testing.
• Propose and implement strategic/tactical solutions for technical problems.
• Understand and follow organizational, team level processes and best practices.

Skill Set

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, or related technical/quantitative field
• 8+ years of experience in working with Java.
• Excellent knowledge of object oriented programming principles
• Good knowledge of Java frameworks (Spring)
• Experience with Caching solutions (Gemfire, Redis)
• Experience with Middleware solutions (Solace, Kafka, Pulsar)
• Experience of testing in Java (Junit) and Mocking frameworks
• Familiarity with development lifecycle tools (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Ansible)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or AWS is desirable.
• Ability to work with both Linux and Windows servers.
• Work effectively in a global team, supporting and advising as required.
• Demonstrate strong personal initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Investment Banking and Capital Markets domain and/or experience developing tools for the Front Office is desirable.
