Principal Software Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and optimize end-to-end Commercial Marketing operations processes, translating business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications
• Define and communicate a product vision encompassing both technical features (AI/ML, cloud architecture) and user enablement features, aligning with business objectives and multiple cross-functional stakeholder groups
• Partner with Commercial Marketing teams, Product Owners, developers, and Service Owners to:
• Design and implement product features
• Ensure delivery against commitments
• Facilitate communication and act as a point of escalation where needed
• Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for Commercial Marketing applications to ensure continuous alignment with evolving business needs
• Leverage AI/ML and cloud-native technologies to address marketing automation, personalization, and data-driven decision-making needs
• Oversee the software development lifecycle within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment
• Develop talent and foster a high-performing team culture through servant leadership, diversity, and delegation best practices
• Collaborate with global teams across regions, including the United States and other international locations
• Communicate key performance indicators, provide analytical insights, and support the identification of unmet needs
• Ensure alignment with compliance, regulatory standards, and IS governance frameworks

Basic Qualifications

• Master's degree with 810 years of experience in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field
• Bachelor's degree with 1014 years of experience
• Diploma with 1418 years of experience
• Proven track record in:
• Leading Salesforce.com platform implementations
• Managing the end-to-end software lifecycle
• Gathering and translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions
• Authoring user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing epics/features in Agile tools (e.g., JIRA)
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving innovation initiatives
• Knowledge of data security best practices, both at rest and in transit
• Demonstrated success in mentoring product analysts and developers, and building high-trust relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Health Cloud and Life Sciences Cloud
• Familiarity with integration platforms like Mulesoft
• Deep experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and agile delivery
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning capabilities
• Exposure to IS governance, stakeholder management, and compliance processes
• Broad working knowledge of multiple Information Systems domains

• Salesforce.com Administrator
• SAFe for Teams Certification
