- Propose, design, and implement solutions to enhance handling of the network.
- Develop automation to assist in network configuration changes.
- Develop automation to assist in network troubleshooting.
- Mentor fellow engineers on technical issues, standards and procedures
- Assist in managing continuous improvement of network operational activities.
- Assist in developing operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLO, and goals of the network team.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong development skills & experience across multi-technology landscape.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of turning requirements into viable solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of networking components.
- Background in Infrastructure as Code principals.
Knowledge Required:
- Exposure to building solutions using Ansible or similiar
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform
- Exposure to repositories such as GitLab or GitHub
- In-depth understanding of scripting languages such as Python.
- Exposure to container technology i.e. Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of operating system fundamentals including Networking, CPU and Memory
- Understanding of network technologies including ACI, EVPN, Load Balancer, Firewalls, Proxy
- Exposure to Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) principals
