Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Product Manager to drive the next generation of cloud-native security. In this role, you will own strategy and execution for technologies at the heart of secure cloud.
Think working with cross-functional teams across large organizations, moving folks towards a unified goal and north star. You drive results, not just facilitate. You possess high judgement and are a roll your sleeve up person with a bias for action. You possess strong ownership and a strong ability to collaborate. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing complex, cross- organizational/functional programs that impact both product and business.
You will partner with every team in OCI and SaaS Security to make these programs happen. The space is fun, agile, cross cutting and complex. We work on true critical programs to the customer and that means support, help, partnership and alignment in the investment.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In this technical role, you will be expected to learn the basics of several of the solutions we provide, while providing TPM support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers and prospects, support sales on key opportunities, by being the security subject matter expert.
- Respond or assist with customer requests for internal security assessments.
- Understand and distil complex technical problems in the security industry and articulate them to senior executives and decision-makers.
- Participate and contribute in security architecture and design reviews.
- Apply project management disciplines and experience, develops plans to include project definitions, scope, business requirements, cost, completion dates, resource allocation, and quality/reliability for a group of projects in 1 or more complex programs.
- Coordinate and track services provided by the Security Engineering and Services, Infrastructure Engineering, Operations, Data Governance, and Automation teams.
- Assist with prioritizing work resulting from findings, stakeholder/customer requests, and strategic vision.
- Work with Product Owners to develop a security roadmap by services/controls.
- Scale and accelerate maturity across multiple service offerings.
- Coordination of medium- and long-term efforts to support the implementation of the product roadmap.
- Actively partner with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate processes and templates are utilized for project and program success.
- Take ownership for establishing and managing multiple project deliverables, communicating project and program vision, and ensuring engineering resources are aligned properly.
- Maintain the project schedules and monitor resource levels to achieve project success.
- Utilize both agile and waterfall methodologies, driving technical and functional teams to complete critical path business requirements in a timely fashion.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from schedules are evident.
- Define and manage dependencies on external teams to successfully deliver the services by getting alignment on commitments.
- Drive expectation setting and leadership management within Cloud security teams and the business.
- Maintain a high level of organization and planning while communicating with stakeholders to reach timelines and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Regularly identify risks and communicate project health to senior leadership.
- Resolve most conflicts between timeline and scope independently, but intuitively escalate complex issues to top management.
- Lead in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of overall experience in the software industry, with at least 5+ years in technical product management or equivalent technical roles in cloud security domain.
- Desired/Preferred certifications - CISA, CISSP, CISM, CNE, ITIL, CSP, CCP, PMP, CSM, SPC
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with identity access management systems a plus.
- Expertise in Data Governance and Compliance a huge plus. Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks
- Understanding of encryption and cryptographic protocols.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and web application security.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Experience using a data-driven approach to track service performance and influence decision making.
- Experience with service management and process engineering.
- Experience reporting on operations of security solutions (example SLA performance).
- Knowledge and application of business process analysis methodologies.
- Outstanding analytical, consulting, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain partnerships with vendors and business.
- General understanding of applications development environment, databases, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and highly result oriented.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, work well in ambiguity.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate security risks and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise in at least one of the following domains: Cloud Security Operations & Threat Vulnerability Management methodologies & frameworks across detection, triage, investigation and response.
- AI proficiencies such as technical skills in programming, machine learning, and data analysis are highly desirable. Experience working with AI & ML-driven analytics (e.g., RAG, correlation models) is a plus.
- Understanding of security data ecosystems including SIEM, SOAR, or data lake architectures and how they support large-scale detection and reasoning workflows.
- Hands-on familiarity with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP security services.
In this role, you will be managing the development and implementation of processes for various SaaS security controls and practices involving cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. You will be playing a major role in planning, monitoring the project from initiation through delivery, and organizing the cross-functional team activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints.
