About the Role
The Principal Product Manager, Last Mile will be a strategic leader responsible for defining, executing, and delivering the product vision and strategy for all consumer-facing and operations-critical Last Mile products at Delhivery. This role requires a deep understanding of large-scale e-commerce, supply chain technology, consumer experience, and high-volume operations to build innovative solutions that drive efficiency, improve delivery experience, and reduce costs (like RTOs and non-delivery rates).In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders (Shippers, Consignees, Business Development, Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, Design) and co-define & execute the near-term product roadmap for the business in line with the business strategy and product vision.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and Champion the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Last Mile product portfolio (e.g., Delivery Partner App, Consumer Tracking, Non-Delivery Management (NDR) tools, last-mile routing/optimization, quality check/reverse logistics products).
- Align the Last Mile product strategy with Delhivery's overall business objectives, focusing on maximizing customer delight, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Conduct deep market, competitor, and customer research (e.g., Delivery Partners, End Consumers, E-commerce Clients) to identify high-impact opportunities and unmet needs.
Execution & Delivery
- Lead a team of Product and Senior Product Managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction for product discovery, definition, and delivery using Agile methodologies.
- Oversee the entire product lifecyclefrom ideation, requirement definition, feature prioritization, launch, to post-launch analysis and iteration.
- Collaborate intensely with Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure successful, timely, and high-quality product releases.
- Drive data-driven decision-making by defining, tracking, and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) like successful delivery rate, cost per delivery, delivery partner efficiency, and customer satisfaction (CSAT).
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key interface with senior leadership and cross-functional Heads of Departments, effectively communicating the Last Mile product strategy, progress, and impact.
- Foster a culture of customer-centric innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the product team.
- Manage trade-offs between technical and operational complexity, business needs, and user experience to ensure a balanced and high-impact roadmap.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior/leadership role
- Proven experience building and scaling technology products in high-volume operations within the e-commerce, supply chain, or logistics domain. Direct Last Mile Product experience or in operational products (warehouse management systems, supply-chain orchestration, or B2C consumer-facing logistics features) is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Deep proficiency in agile development methodologies and product management tools.
- Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving significant business results.
