Principal Product Manager
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, with 10+ years of experience, to take on a role in the Offer domain, responsible for the definition of the end-to-end solution for Revenue Management, a given scope within the Offer Optimization portfolio. The Product Manager will collaborate with other PMs working in adjacent areas, Product Marketing Managers, Engineers and Commercial teams, to build a coherent solution moving forward.
Role
In this role, (s)he will put together a comprehensive solution strategy & positioning approach to meet the airline business needs of managing the offers they wish to sell, this includes:
- Understanding business and commercial market dynamics
- Articulating the functional and non-functional requirements
- Integrating constraints & considerations for the Airlines and Amadeus distribution ecosystem
- Understanding and monitoring competition, the market and industry players (ex. IATA, ATPCo) positioning and trends
Responsibilities
(S)he is responsible for ensuring the creation of feasible and sustainable solutions and defining a transition plan from the current to future state, by:
- Collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders in the broader business unit, R&D, Sales, Pre-sales, as well as airlines customers to identify and define market and business needs,
- Defining the Product Vision, Roadmap, and transition plan required to meet these needs,
- Working with multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in delivering value
Your Main Responsibilities
- Deliver relevant and impactful presentations to potential customers, leveraging the airline and other industry expertise to demonstrate the value of your Offer products
- Work with customers from proof of concept to once they have signed and implemented the solution to demonstrate the business value, ensuring adoption and a positive perception of the solution.
- Work with various Product Managers to ensure that we clearly articulate the vision and strategy and translate that into an achievable plan to ensure Amadeus delivers a first in class Offer Management Solution. This includes Offer Creation (inventory, ancillary services, interline etc etc), as well as Pricing and Offer Optimization
- Partner with the broader Product Management and Engineering Community to ensure the on-time delivery of customer centric value added evolutions of the solution scope end-to-end, taking into account the impact on touchpoints, data, revenue accounting, etc.
- Develop the go-to-market plan working in partnership with Product Marketing Management, Go-to-market and account teams
- Participate, where necessary, in the IATA and other industry working groups, advocating for industry transformation that supports Amadeus long term objectives and drives sustainable growth for our airlines.
- Build the sales pipeline partnering with the sales, pre-sales and account teams to identify customer targets and empower them to deliver messages that resonate.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- The product manager should have experience in
- Strategic thinking & product management practises
- Airline / Travel domain
- Perform market analysis and competitive analysis
- Leading customer interaction and management.
- Have subject matter expertise in Revenue Management
- You will operate in SAFe environment with a wide range of teams, people & customers to identify and define product, market and business needs. (Good to have)
- You are interested in Airline Industry (IATA, ATPCo)
