Position Description For Principal Service Delivery Engineer
Sabre Offer Optimization Delivery Engineers are members of a techno-functional team specialized in implementing and delivering Air Vision Revenue Optimization and Dynamic Pricing solutions for various airlines. Delivery Engineer is acknowledged as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on these solutions and in the business practice of Offer Optimization and Offer Management.
Responsibilities
- Will be involved in end to solution implementation life cycle starting from Project Kick Off, Business Process Assessment (BPA) through transition to customer care.
- Will develop a thorough understanding of the application's user interface, from both functional and business process standpoint, to train airline analysts and help in solution adoption into customer's business processes.
- Will attend onsite customer meetings when required and support the project team in understanding customer's business processes and requirements.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with project managers, account managers, implementation and development resources to meet customer expectations regarding solution implementation, issue resolution during solution adoption phase, and resolution of maintenance issues / service requests post cutover.
- Will lead the data gathering process prior to solution implementation phase.
- Will lead data validation checks in the context of AirVision Revenue Optimization & Dynamic Pricing solutions at all stages of solution implementation and delivery
- Will identify the best practices adopted by customers during the interactions and communicate the same to Solution Management teams to enhance AirVision Revenue Optimization & Dynamic Pricing solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, to serve as lead conduit between developers, architects, designers and with external and internal customers Will help Customer care team in resolving maintenance SRs
- Demonstrates effective teamwork skills.
- Operates under general direction with minimal oversight
- Ensures that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used.
- Shall mentor/train new business analysts on the solution and processes.
- Will work closely with Delivery Managers to improve project delivery lifecycle. Identifying areas of efficiencies and training needs.
- Will contribute to RFP's and Sale's operations in defining Work Orders and relative costs of implementations.
Required Experience / Skills
- Airline Offer Order Ecosystem understanding or relevant similar experience
- Airline Offer Management knowledge and experience
- 5+ years experience working in Pricing & Revenue Management for an airline using O&D revenue management solutions, or similar experience
- Must have experience with Dynamic Pricing, Competitive Benchmarking, Offer Optimization & Revenue Management applications.
- Experimentation Framework Design & understanding for Dynamic Pricing in airlines or equivalent industry
- Dynamic Pricing Models exposure
- Experience with travel distribution/reservation systems (Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus) & NDC ecosystem
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience strongly desired.
- Proven Analytical skills.
- Good understanding of database concepts and working knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases
- Ability to apply modelling and analytical skills to real world problems demonstrated over 3-5 years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of Unix commands
- Must be organized and be able to multi-task and work in all areas as needed.
- Prior experience/knowledge on Forecasting and Optimization techniques is an advantage.
- Proficient English written and oral communication skills. Command of a second language is an advantage
- Identify problems and be able to determine when appropriate escalation is required
- Must be willing to travel 10-50% of the time

- DBMS: Oracle, MongoDB
- Operating Systems: UNIX, Windows
- Microsoft Tools: Microsoft Word, Excel Basic and Advanced, PowerPoint
- Tools (desired, not strictly required):SQL Developer, Studio 3T or Equivalent, R, Python, VBA
- Programming languages and other tools (desired, not required): C++, Java, AWK
- Experience using Salesforce CRM tool is add on.
