Job Description

  • Drive frontend technical vision and architecture across multiple teams
  • Design and build core frontend systems powering an AI code review platform
  • Solve complex challenges in performance, accessibility, and user experience
  • Establish frontend standards, best practices, and design systems
  • Mentor and grow frontend engineers across the organization
  • Partner with product and design leaders to translate user needs into technical solutions
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging frontend technologies
  • Contribute to relevant open-source frontend projects
  • Support a culture of engineering excellence and innovation

The Successful Applicant

A successful Frontend Principal Engineer should have:

  • 11 -16 years of software engineering experience with at least 7+ years specializing in frontend development
  • Proven track record of leading and architecting complex, large-scale frontend systems
  • Deep expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and one or more major frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and web standards
  • Experience building developer tools or sophisticated web platforms with a strong focus on user experience
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across teams
  • Excellent collaboration skills with product and design leaders to translate user needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Hands-on experience with build systems, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Active contributor to the frontend community through open source, blogs, or technical talks (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across the organization
  • Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices is highly valued
  • Exposure to code editors, IDEs, browser internals, or AI/LLM-powered frontend applications is a plus
  • Curious, forward-thinking technologist with a passion for emerging frontend technologies and best practices
