The Xbox Experiences and Platforms team is home to the engineering work that makes this vision possible, building the developer tools and services that enable game creators to craft incredible experiences, the commerce systems that connect publishers with their audience and help gamers engage with their next favorite games, the platforms on which those games play at their best, and the experiences that turn every screen into an Xbox.

Responsibilities

  • Forming, and leading a team of 8-10 engineers.
  • Drivingexecution on projectstrategy, incollaboration withproduct management.
  • Fostering a culture of excellence in execution by adhering tomodern engineering principles and practices.
  • Collaborating with leaders acrossgeographic and organizational boundaries to make impactful changes.
  • Lead the definition of requirements, key performance indicator (KPIs), priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Actively shapingand drivinga flexible, diverse, and inclusive culturethatbrings out the best in the team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and common Design Patterns.
  • Experiencein DevOps tomaintainlive services andor application frameworks.

  • Analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design.
  • Commitment to building highly scalable,highly reliableservices.
  • Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes.
  • Collaboratingwith technical partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on multiple technology areas.
  • Confident and articulate in expressing ideas to a mixed audience with varying views and challenges.
  • Cultural sensitivity and a proven ability to work with teams and partners across multiple geographies.
  • A sense of personal ownership isrequired, together with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines while managing internal stakeholder expectations.
  • Self-motivated and organized to deliver results.
