Position Overview
Join Autodesk's Platform Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division, contributing to the Fusion 360 family of products. As a full-stackPrincipal Engineer, you will collaboratively design, build, andmaintainscalable, cloud-nativesolutionsusing AWS and modern DevOps practices.You'llwork across backend (Java/Spring, C++) and frontend (React) systems,leveragingcontainerization, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing to deliver high-quality features.You'llcollaborate with a technically proficient, diverse, and supportive team in Toronto and worldwide, helping drive developer productivity, platform consistency, and customer value.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to software design and architecture by injecting your cloudexpertiseinto the entire development lifecycle
Lead planning, design, development, and testing of key features/functions delivered via applications and services
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, understand usecasesand build towards a cohesive technical strategy.Adapt communication style to persuade various stakeholders
Build strategic partnerships with key cross-organizational teams to ensure that your application/service leverages capabilities offered by the platform
Strong problem-solving skills and capability to work on complex systems
Uphold team standards by championing engineering best practices
Hands on software development for products that will perform at scale, be supportable, and be extensible
Write code that is tested, readable, and maintainable
Perform code reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback for tool improvements
Automate processes where possible and createnew technologieswhen needed
Crosstrainand mentor teammates
Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems
Minimum Qualifications
Great teamplayer with about 8 to 12 years of total industry experience
Hands-on software development experience in Java, Spring, React jS, Typescript
5+ years of production experience in large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure (AWS preferred)
3+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably DynamoDB and MySQL/Aurora
Experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs
Working knowledge of build automation and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working withcontainer-basedsolutions
Preferred Qualifications
Expertisewith Cloud platforms like AWS,Azureor GCP
Expertisedata storage such as MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, etc.
Passionate about building and motivating highly skilled engineering teams
Experience driving organizational strategic initiatives
