Job Description
The Senior DevOps/CloudOps engineer is responsible for collaborating with software developers, system operators, and other engineering team members to manage code releases. He/She will be working to cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development, testing, and operations teams, and keep existing networks in mind as they design, plan, and test.
As Senior DevOps/CloudOps engineer, you will work in a cross-functional team with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Engineers, internal and external stakeholders to co-develop the digital products
Key Responsibilities
- Setup and enhance CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Deployment)
- Write and deploy scripts in different environments to automate day-to-day operations
- Maintain servers configuration, Kubernetes cluster, monitoring jobs, and infrastructure documentation across the cloud environment (AWS)
- Provision, maintain AWS Infrastructure, resources and ensure round the clock availability of resources
- Work closely with BA, Engineers and Service Delivery Manager to ensure timely deployments
- Ownership and accountability of deployments, AWS resources, EKS Clusters and Workloads
- Introduce and maintain DevOps best practice and technologies to improve software quality
- Foster a digital culture of knowledge sharing, job pride and collaboration
- Contribute to the recruitment process, technical interviews, RFP and ARB bank internal process
- Advice DevOps Capability on utilizing new technologies including the advantages and disadvantages
- Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to manage team
Key Requirements
- Hands-on 10+ years of recent technical experience in Professional Services/Enterprise DevOps/CloudOps, DevSecOps role
- Knowledge on AWS services like VPC, Route 53, EC2, EKS
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in multiple functional areas are required, such as infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform), containerize orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management (Ansible), programming language (Python), logging system (Elastic Stack), CI/CD and network protocols and standards.
- The ability to spend substantial time interfacing with the onsite teams on a daily basis.
- Knowledge working in a DevOps role in a continuous integration environment specially in AWS
- Strong knowledge of configuration management software such as Ansible, Terraform
- Software Upgradation Ability to write in multiple languages including Python and a strong understanding of Linux.
- Networking and system administration knowledge
- Minimum of 5+ years experience as Senior DevOps/CloudOps Engineer
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Understanding requirements and experience using monitoring solutions such as AppDynamics, CloudWatch, ELK
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent degree
- Preferably from retail banking background
- DevOps and Cloud certification from AWS/Azure
