Position Overview

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions across AWS, Salesforce, and Amazon Connect. This role focuses on building cloud-native services that extend Salesforce CRM capabilities and enable seamless data and telephony integration across systems.

You will drive architecture and implementation of AWS-based integrations, including Amazon Connect solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, Salesforce developers, and integration teams. The role requires hands-on leadership in designing robust data pipelines, ensuring system reliability, and aligning solutions with enterprise standards. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in AWS services, strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture and integration patterns, and experience with Amazon Connect. A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on engineering is essential to deliver scalable and resilient solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ability to communicate with and work directly with business teams to design and implement AWS-Salesforce solutions

  • Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based integrations with Salesforce using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, and Step Functions

  • Understand business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud-based solutions

  • Develop and maintain APIs and microservices to support Salesforce integrations

  • Contribute across the development lifecycle: requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and support

  • Maintain and support integrations across multiple Salesforce environments (sandbox, test, production)

  • Salesforce Integration Development

  • Build and manage integrations between Salesforce and external systems such as ERP, marketing platforms, and customer support tools


Amazon Connect Telephony Integration

  • Design, develop, and support Amazon Connect solutions integrated with Salesforce for call center operations, including CTI integration, call routing, IVR flows, and agent experience optimization

  • AWS Cloud Development

  • Design and implement serverless and cloud-native solutions using AWS services

  • Data Integration & Processing

  • Develop and manage data pipelines for synchronization between Salesforce and AWS systems

Apex & Salesforce Collaboration

  • Work with Salesforce developers to align AWS services with Apex, triggers, and Lightning components

CI/CD & DevOps

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for deployment of AWS and Salesforce integration components

  • Monitor AWS services and integrations, including Amazon Connect workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability and performance

  • Ensure AWS and Salesforce integrations follow security best practices and compliance standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

  • 8-12+ years of experience in software development with strong focus on AWS and Salesforce integrations

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and Step Functions

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Amazon Connect including contact flows, CTI integration, call routing, IVR design, and integration with Salesforce Service Cloud

  • Strong experience in API development (REST/SOAP) and microservices architecture

  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems

  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform including Apex, Lightning, and APIs

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, and performance optimisation

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect) preferred

  • Salesforce certifications are a plus

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
