Role & responsibilities
1. Identify potential clients and develop strategic relationships to generate new business opportunities in debt syndication.
2. Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs.
3. Lead the end-to-end deal cycle of debt syndication projects, including structuring, negotiation, documentation, and execution.
4. Prepare comprehensive financial models, feasibility studies, and presentations for client pitches and lender meetings.
5. Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
6. Manage relationships with financial institutions, lenders, and other stakeholders to optimize financing terms and conditions for clients.
7. Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on debt financing options, including loan syndication, project financing, and debt restructuring.
8. Stay updated on regulatory requirements and market dynamics affecting debt syndication activities.
9. Monitor and track industry developments, market trends, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and potential risks.
10. Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on business development activities, pipeline management, and project performance.
Preferred candidate profile
1. Proven track record of successful business development in debt syndication or related financial services.
2 Minimum 10+ years of experience in managing the entire deal cycle of debt syndication projects, including structuring, negotiation, and execution.
3. Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
4. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
7. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in debt syndication.
8. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
9. Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent is a plus.
