Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python and Django.

• Build and maintain RESTful/GraphQL APIs for web and mobile applications.

• Optimize databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQL) for performance and reliability.

• Integrate third-party services like payment gateways, EMR/EHR systems, and authentication.

• Ensure security, HIPAA/GDPR compliance, and implement best coding practices.

• Lead system architecture, scalability improvements, and performance optimization.

• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain code quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps.

• Implement automated testing, logging, monitoring, and troubleshoot production issues.

• Stay updated with healthcare tech trends and contribute to innovation and process improvements.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• We are looking for senior developer of professional software development experience, with at least in Python/Django (including Django REST Framework).

• Strong expertise in API design and development, including RESTful principles and best practices.

• Hands-on experience with asynchronous processing using Celery, Redis, or similar tools.

• Solid knowledge of database design and optimization (PostgreSQL preferred).

• Proven experience in cloud-native deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP) using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks (HIPAA/HITECH).

• Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) or willingness to learn quickly.

Strong communication and leadership skills for mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Prior experience in the healthcare technology (HealthTech) industry is a must. A deep understanding of the healthcare domain, including knowledge of EHR/EMR systems, patient data security, and HIPAA regulations is critical.

• Bachelor%27s or Master%27s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience leading quality initiatives across multiple product lines or in a portfolio-based company.

• Familiarity with interoperability standards like HL7 and FHIR.
