We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who can independently design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Cypress, TypeScript/JavaScript, and a solid understanding of Java-based application architectures.
This role requires someone who can build end-to-end automation suites, drive quality engineering practices, and serve as a technical anchor for the broader automation team.

Responsibilities

Automation Development
. Build end-to-end automation frameworks for:
. Smoke testing
. UAT testing and UAT incident automation
. Regression testing
. Develop scalable, maintainable automation suites using Cypress (TypeScript).

Technical Leadership
. Evaluate the application's tech stack and map the right automation tools.
. Lead automation strategy and framework design from scratch.
. Mentor junior automation engineers and help build a strong QA automation team.
. Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA to ensure quality engineering practices.

Application Understanding
. Analyse and understand the application built on:
. React (frontend)
. Java microservices (backend)
. API Gateway communication
. Derive features, workflows, test scenarios, and test cases by understanding the application behaviour end-to-end.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• QA/SDET experience.

• Strong coding background (SDET mindset, not just tool knowledge).

• Experience working in Agile environments and delivering automation for enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

. Strong hands-on experience with Cypress
. Expertise in TypeScript / JavaScript
. Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
. Good understanding of API automation and backend flows
. Preferred / Required Exposure:
. Understanding of Java to interpret backend logic and application flow
. Experience in testing Java-based microservices
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
