Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a Piping Designer to join our CRC engineering department and specifically our industry discipline helping to contribute towards its continuing success.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in their design tasks of plans and specifications using CAD/DAO, 3D and 2D development tools, for heavy industrial, petrochemical and manufacturing projects.
- Preparation of various drawing types.
- Isometric preparation (Isogen) and clean-up.
- Prepare list of equipment, piping and pipes, with the help of specialized software and Excel.
- Estimate and calculate volumes of material required for projects.
- Perform various simulations using specialized software (e. g. 2D or 3D modelling).
- If required, assist team technicians in projects.
- Attend follow-up meetings with the design team (SKYPE).
- Perform any other related tasks that can help with project implementation.
Qualifications
- Mechanical engineering degree or another equivalent certification.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in CAD/DAO design and conception in the field of engineering, preferably industrial.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 3D and 2D software.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D (c/w Isogen) and intelligent P&ID software, and knowledge of Revit would be a plus.
- Should be a team player.
