Principal Architect - TCS Bangalore (15+ years exp)

Role: Principal Architect

Desired Experience Range: 15+ years

Location of Requirement : TCS- Bangalore

Competency required:

Must have at least 15 years of hands-on experience in IT architecture design and implementation, with at least 8 years of relevant experience in global projects or in software product company;

Experience in enterprise-class open-source technologies is required. Must have comprehensive knowledge of overall software architecture and software engineering methodologies, principles and practices;

Experience in IT infrastructure assessment and gap analysis of large mission critical and complex enterprise technology suites, involving digital transformation and automation of existing business processes;

Experience in enterprise IT architecture design and implementation of public sector e-Governance programs (India or Global) is desirable;

Has strong understanding of various development methodologies like Agile, Waterfall;

Roles & Responsibility:

Responsible for the overall architecture, design and implementation of the application suite; Responsible for the overall architecture, design and implementation of the application suite;

Advise and recommend enterprise architecture (EA) strategies, processes, methodologies and operating procedures to ensure that the EA objectives are consistent.

Responsible for institutionalizing industry standard technology best practices and newer technologies and solutions, to upgrade the technology platform and address ongoing risks/ challenges;

Work with other Architects and development teams to develop expertise for in-house maintenance of community editions of open source technologies; Will work with other Architects to evaluate newer technology options to improve the application service levels and reduce cost of operations;

Keep up-to-date with changes to existing technologies, including obsolescence of such technologies, changes in licensing conditions (if any), etc.

Maintain the system inter-relationship document which shows the subsystems and modules and their inter-linkages;

Manage and oversee the activities & responsibilities undertaken by all the MSAP architects;

Periodic review of all application SLAs and adherence to these SLAs;

Review & approve all Product Design documents affecting the design & architecture of the system adhering to all the architecture principles;

Communicate with external stakeholders.
