Highly experienced Data Architect with a strong data engineering background and handson experience in Java and microservicesbased architectures with 15+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, governing, and evolving scalable data platforms that support complex business needs, while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and analytics teams.
This role requires a balance of strategic architectural thinking, deep technical expertise, and handson leadership.
Core Experience
- 15+ years of overall IT experience with a strong focus on data architecture and data engineering.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprisescale data platforms.
- Strong handson background in Java and microservices architecture.
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Deep expertise in:
- Data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
- ETL/ELT frameworks
- Batch and streaming data processing
- Experience with modern data warehouses and data lakes.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and performance optimization.
Technology Stack
- Programming: Scala, Java, SQL, Python
- Big Data Technologies - Spark, PySpark, Spark SQL
- Microservices: REST APIs, eventdriven architectures
- Data Platforms: Snowflake / BigQuery / Redshift / Azure Synapse (or equivalents)
- Streaming: Kafka / Spark Structured Streaming
- Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP, GCP is preferred
- Orchestration - Airflow etc.
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
