About the Company:

Microchip FPGA Product Group is the leading supplier of low-power programmable technologies. Our mission is to manage power consumption at both the chip and the system level, leveraging the industry's lowest power and unique mixed-signal FPGAs and SoC's to offer system designers a competitive edge. Our Design Center in Hyderabad, India is a growing and vital member of the group.

About this Position:

You will join the custom design team to design analog IP's for FPGA products. You will work closely with architects, technology development and software engineers to ensure that the company deploys new products with the highest quality and shortest time to market. This position will provide the opportunity to work on multiple projects supporting key functions within the organization.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with analog design lead and architects to design specific analog IP blocks
  • Simulate analog circuits across process corners and operating conditions, including Montecarlo analysis
  • Model design blocks to be included in top level mixed signal simulations
  • Post-silicon validation of design at block and system level

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BSEE or MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of direct experience working on analog and mixed-signal circuits
  • Experience in high-speed and analog circuit design including the following: ADCs, DACs, Filters, bandgap, POR circuits, high accuracy comparators etc.
  • Strong fundamentals of circuit theory, design, and layout
  • Hands-on experience in scripting and automation (Skill, Python, Perl, Tcl, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge in Cadence IC design flow and tools
  • Expertise in the system design of mixed signal circuits is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with lab testing of analog blocks

  • Work quality (do it right the first time, attention to detail, good documentation)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in board design fundamentals, signal and power integrity
  • Experience with Verilog or VHDL
  • Working knowledge of SOC and/or FPGA Architectures
  • Knowledge of FPGA design generation flow associated with Microchip (Libero), or any other FPGA
