About This Role
As a Primavera Unifier / P6 Reporting Expert, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-level reporting and dashboards for major capital programs. You will work closely with project controls, finance, PMO, and IT stakeholders to transform complex project data into meaningful business insights. This role reports to the PMIS solution architect and focuses on building BI Publisher reports, Power BI dashboards, and optimized data views from Oracle Primavera Unifier and P6 systems. You will be a technical subject matter expert (SME) responsible for data architecture, validation, performance optimization, and governance across the reporting ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Primavera Unifier & P6 Reporting
- Develop, configure, and maintain BI Publisher reports for Primavera Unifier and P6
- Design and optimize Unifier Data Views and custom queries for reporting
- Build and maintain operational and executive dashboards using Power BI
- Develop complex SQL queries for reporting across Unifier and P6 databases
- Support data extraction, validation, transformation, and reconciliation between systems
- Create Vice President / Program Director-level dashboards for performance, cost, risk, and schedule
Data & Integration
- Understand and work directly with Unifier and P6 database schemas and tables
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including P6 EPS/WBS, Unifier logs, cost controls, and funding modules
- Ensure consistency between Unifier transactional data and Power BI semantic models
- Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot mismatches across systems
Performance & Governance
- Optimize BI Publisher SQL queries and Data Views for performance and scalability
- Ensure reporting complies with data governance and security standards
- Maintain documentation for report logic, data models, and SQL queries
- Partner with functional teams to capture reporting requirements and translate into technical designs
- Provide end-user training, report manuals, and knowledge transfer
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Primavera Unifier and P6 reporting
- Strong hands-on experience with: Oracle BI Publisher, Power BI, Primavera Unifier Data Views, and Primavera P6 reporting
- Advanced SQL expertise (Oracle / SQL Server environments)
- Deep understanding of Unifier and P6 database structures and tables
- Experience building executive-level dashboards for capital programs
- Experience with cost management, forecasting, contracts, and project controls data
- Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into technical reporting solutions
Additional Skills
- Experience with enterprise data warehouse architecture
- Knowledge of ETL tools and integration frameworks
- Familiarity with REST APIs from Unifier / P6
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience working on airport, infrastructure, or mega capital programs (preferred)
