Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver structured lesson plans for Mathematics and Science aligned with the school's curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Teach concept-based instruction using age-appropriate and activity-oriented methods.
- Build students numeracy, logical reasoning, scientific inquiry, and problem-solving skills through interactive activities.
- Introduce scientific concepts with hands-on experiments, observations, models, and demonstrations.
- Use teaching aids, worksheets, and digital learning tools to reinforce learning.
- Conduct regular assessments classwork, homework, tests, quizzes, and projects and maintain accurate academic records.
- Monitor and report on student progress with meaningful feedback and progress reports.
- Create a safe, disciplined, and positive classroom environment supportive of diverse learning needs.
- Provide individualized support to students who need extra help.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student progress and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, attend staff meetings, and participate in school-wide activities and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed or D.Ed (teaching qualification) mandatory.
- 24 years of teaching experience (primary teaching experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of primary-level pedagogy and child development.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use technology and educational tools to support learning.
