Pressshop Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for hydraulic press machines.
• Monitor machine performance regularly to identify early signs of wear, inefficiencies, or potential failures.
• Implement predictive maintenance practices using data and historical performance to reduce unplanned downtime.

Machine Operation & Monitoring:

• Operate hydraulic press machines safely and efficiently as per standard operating procedures.
• Monitor key machine parameters such as pressure, temperature, and cycle times to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate logs of operational data, maintenance activities, and machine performance metrics.

Breakdown Handling & Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in press machines promptly.
• Perform root-cause analysis and execute corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve recurring issues and improve machine reliability.

Hydraulic Systems Maintenance:

• Inspect, service, and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings.
• Maintain hydraulic fluid levels, filters, and system integrity as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols during maintenance activities.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, machine inspections, and breakdown reports.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements, cost reduction, and machine efficiency enhancements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to press machine operations and maintenance.
