Job Title: Presales Specialist – Indirect Tax & Global E-Invoicing
Role Overview
We are looking for a Presales Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in Indirect Tax technology, with hands-on exposure to e-invoicing and e-reporting compliance mandates across the Middle East and European Union. You will work at the intersection of sales, product, and customer success — owning the technical and consultative aspects of our sales cycle, from discovery to deal closure, for prospects and customers operating in VAT-regulated and e-invoicing mandate-driven markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end presales solutioning: discovery, scoping, architecture design, and POC/pilot delivery in collaboration with Product Engineering — with a focus on ME and EU compliance landscapes
- Lead compelling product demos and solution presentations tailored to prospect pain points across e-invoicing, VAT compliance, and tax reporting workflows in target geographies
- Prepare high-quality RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, and BRDs; manage response timelines across multi-geography, multi-stakeholder deals
- Translate complex, jurisdiction-specific customer requirements into scalable, implementable solution designs
- Serve as the subject matter expert on regional e-invoicing mandates including ZATCA (Saudi Arabia), UAE e-invoicing, and EU ViDA / country-level mandates (Italy SDI, France PPF/PDP, Germany, Poland KSeF, etc.)
- Track evolving regulatory changes across ME and EU markets and proactively update internal teams and solution positioning
- Conduct competitive analysis and market intelligence specific to ME and EU tax tech landscape; feed insights to the Product team to influence roadmap prioritization
- Conduct internal enablement sessions for Sales and Customer Success on geography-specific compliance updates, use cases, and product capabilities
- Support pipeline-building activities: webinars, regional industry events (e.g., tax and finance forums in UAE, KSA, or Europe), customer workshops, and marketing content
- Build and maintain a library of reusable demo environments, proposal templates, and solution playbooks tailored to ME and EU buyer personas
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in Presales, or Product roles within B2B SaaS or Tax Technology
- Demonstrated knowledge of Indirect Tax — VAT, GST, e-invoicing, and e-reporting compliance
- Hands-on experience with at least one ME or EU e-invoicing mandate, such as:
- Middle East: ZATCA Phase 1 & 2 (Saudi Arabia), UAE Federal Tax Authority e-invoicing framework
- EU: ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age), Italy SDI, France PDP/PPF, Poland KSeF, or equivalent country mandate
- Strong ability to run structured demos, discovery sessions, and customer workshops independently across diverse geographies and cultures
- Proficiency in RFP management, BRD writing, and solution documentation for complex, multi-country deals
- Excellent presentation and communication skills — comfortable engaging CFOs, tax directors, IT leads, and procurement teams across ME and EU markets
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and process/solution diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with or selling to enterprises in GCC countries (KSA, UAE, Qatar) or European markets (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Nordics)
- Familiarity with ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) in the context of regional tax compliance and e-invoicing connectivity
- Understanding of Peppol network and its adoption across EU and ME markets
- Exposure to multi-country e-invoicing rollout programs or global compliance transformation projects
- Understanding of API-based integrations and technical architecture sufficient to bridge business and engineering conversations
- Arabic or European language proficiency is a plus, not a requirement
