Job Summary
We are seeking a Presales Engineer Server Solutions who will work closely with the sales team to design, propose, and demonstrate server and data center solutions to customers. The role involves understanding client requirements, recommending appropriate server infrastructure, and supporting the sales process with technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the sales team to identify customer requirements and propose suitable server and data center solutions.
- Design and recommend server architecture, compute solutions, and infrastructure setups.
- Prepare technical proposals, solution documents, BOQs, and presentations for clients.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POC).
- Provide guidance on virtualization, storage integration, backup solutions, and high availability architectures.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and RFP/RFQ responses.
- Collaborate with OEM vendors and internal technical teams for solution design.
- Support sales team in closing deals by addressing technical queries and objections.
- Stay updated with the latest server technologies, cloud integration, and data center trends.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of server hardware (Rack, Blade, Tower servers).
- Experience with server vendors like Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco UCS, etc.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
- Understanding of storage, backup, disaster recovery, and networking basics.
- Experience in solution design and technical documentation.
- Ability to conduct technical presentations and client discussions.
- Familiarity with RFP/RFI/RFQ processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT / Electronics / Engineering.
- Certifications preferred: VMware, Dell, HPE, Microsoft, Cisco.
- 38 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Presales / Server Solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in data center solutions and hybrid cloud architecture.
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows Server administration basics.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
