The Role
This role drives end-to-end technical presales for data center design and build opportunities, integrating multiple domains such as power, cooling, MEP, ICT, cabling, automation, and sustainability into a single coherent solution. It works with customers to understand business, capacity, and resilience requirements and translates them into buildable, standards-compliant architectures.
The role orchestrates inputs from engineering, PMO, OEMs, and partners to create validated solutions and competitive commercial models covering CapEx and OpEx. It leads site assessments, solution workshops, and technical proposal development, ensuring feasibility, compliance, and differentiation.
A strong focus is placed on clear articulation of design choices, scalability, efficiency, and lifecycle value during customer presentations and RFP responses. The role also builds reusable presales artefacts and templates to improve speed and quality of future pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead integrated technical solutioning across power, cooling, MEP, ICT, cabling, and facility infrastructure for DC design and build pursuits.
- Conduct customer discovery workshops and site assessments to baseline capacity, density, resiliency, and growth requirements.
- Lead AI-ready and high-density DC solutioning, including liquid cooling, modular builds
- Develop reference architectures and block designs covering redundancy models, white-space planning, and expansion strategies.
- Own RFP/RFI responses including scope definition, assumptions, delivery methodology, cost estimates, and SOW creation.
- Build competitive CapEx/OpEx commercial models and value-engineering options to meet customer budget and timeline targets.
- Orchestrate inputs from engineering, PMO, OEMs, and construction partners to produce validated, buildable solutions.
- Create and maintain presales artefacts such as templates, design kits, pricing calculators, and case studies.
- Present end-to-end solutions and differentiators to customers covering scalability, efficiency, sustainability, and lifecycle value.
- Support transition from presales to delivery with clear design baselines, risk registers, and execution assumptions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong knowledge of DC MEP, power/cooling, modular builds, modernization, Digital Twin, CFD, capacity planning.
- Proven experience in presales for large DC build programs
- Commercial acumen, customer-facing communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
- 10+yrs of data center industry experience
