Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Solution Architect Professional Services to play a critical role in driving technical sales engagements. This role involves designing and presenting end-to-end solutions, leading customer discussions, crafting winning proposals, and supporting high-value deal closures across public cloud, data center hosting, migrations, and managed services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-sales technical engagements including customer meetings, demos, workshops, and proof-of-concepts
- Design customer-specific architectures using AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-prem / hosted data center solutions
- Develop and present solution architectures, migration strategies, and managed service offerings
- Prepare and respond to RFI/RFP/RFQ, including solution documents, SOWs, BOMs, and pricing models
- Conduct requirement-gathering workshops and deliver architectural recommendations
- Perform hardware sizing, TCO analysis, ROI justification, and FinOps cost optimization
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to define deal strategies and address technical objections
- Deliver high-impact presentations to CXOs, decision makers, and technical evaluation committees
- Support contract finalization through solution validation and technical due diligence
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in cloud and managed services
Required Skills & Experience
- 710 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, or Technical Sales Engineering
- Proven success in closing complex enterprise deals in cloud, hosting, or managed services
- Strong hands-on experience architecting solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Expertise in cloud migrations, hybrid environments, DevOps concepts, and managed services
- Solid understanding of FinOps, cost modeling, and optimization strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and cost-effective architectures
- Experience creating proposals, solution documents, SOWs, BOMs, and ROI/TCO models
Preferred Certifications
- AWS / Azure / GCP Solutions Architect (Professional level preferred)
- FinOps Certified Practitioner
- TOGAF or Zachman Enterprise Architecture certification
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (required)
- Master's degree preferred
