Job Title: Pre-Sales Consultant / Pre-Sales Executive (Life Sciences / Pharma / Retail)

Experience: 35 years

Location: Chennai candidates preferred

Work Mode: WFO/Hybrid

About the Role

We are looking for a high-impact Pre-Sales team member to support our Sales, Business Development, and Client & Account Growth teams. This role sits at the intersection of consulting, storytelling, and commercial strategyhelping convert opportunities into wins through strong solutioning, proposals, and client-facing materials.

The ideal candidate understands how consulting businesses sell, can translate client needs into compelling solutions, and works seamlessly with multiple internal stakeholders.

The role is execution-focused and suited for candidates who enjoy being hands-on, collaborating across teams, and taking ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Partner with Sales and BD teams to support lead conversion and opportunity closure
  • Understand client briefs, problem statements, and RFPs/RFIs, and translate them into structured solution approaches
  • Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposals, capability decks, and commercial responses

Solutioning & Proposal Development

  • Co-create customized solutions aligned to client needs, industry context, and consulting offerings
  • Develop proposal narratives, scope documents, timelines, and high-level pricing inputs (in coordination with leadership)
  • Ensure proposals are compelling, coherent, and aligned to the firm's value proposition

Client & Account Growth Enablement

  • Support account teams with cross-sell and up-sell proposals, renewal decks, and expansion ideas
  • Create reusable pre-sales assets, case study summaries, and solution frameworks
  • Track ongoing opportunities and support follow-ups and clarifications with clients

Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Management

  • Work closely with delivery, consulting, and leadership teams to gather inputs and insights
  • Maintain and continuously improve pre-sales templates, pitch repositories, and best practices
  • Bring structure, clarity, and polish to client-facing communication

Required Skills & Experience

  • 35 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Consulting, Business Development support, or Proposal Management
  • Prior experience in a consulting (preferred), professional services, analytics, IT services, or strategy firm preferred
  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills
  • Ability to structure complex ideas into clear, client-ready presentations
  • Experience working on proposals, RFPs, pitch decks, and solution documents
  • High attention to detail and strong stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to consulting sales cycles and account-based selling
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, Excel (proposal-quality outputs expected)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Chennai-based candidates preferred

Prior exposure to Life Sciences / Pharma is preferred but not mandatory

Candidates from nonLife Sciences backgrounds (especially retail) are also encouraged to apply

  • Domain knowledge can be learned on the job; curiosity and learning agility are critical
