Job Description – Pre-Sales Consultant (Individual Contributor – SaaS / Product)

Role: Pre-Sales Consultant (IC Role) 

Location: Gurugram 

Work Mode: Work from Office (5 Days) 

Experience: 8+ Years

Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on pre-Sales professional who can independently drive end-to-end pre-sales activities—from requirement understanding to demo, solutioning, and RFP submission.

This is a pure execution (doer) role, where the candidate is expected to actively work on proposals, demos, and client interactions rather than just managing or delegating.

Key Responsibilities (Hands-on Execution):

  • Directly engage with clients to understand business and functional requirements
  • Own and deliver product demonstrations, POCs, and solution walkthroughs
  • Prepare end-to-end RFP / RFI / RFQ responses independently
  • Write detailed proposals, solution documents, and presentations
  • Map client requirements to product features and practical use cases
  • Work closely with product/engineering teams to resolve technical queries
  • Create customized demo environments / use-case based demos
  • Support sales team during client meetings, follow-ups, and deal closure
  • Contribute to effort estimation, scope definition, and solution design
  • Maintain reusable content like proposal templates, case studies, demo scripts
  • Participate in POCs, pilots, and technical evaluations
  • Ensure smooth transition of requirements to delivery teams

Mandatory Skills (Doer-Focused)

  • Strong hands-on experience in Pre-Sales / Solution Consulting (SaaS/Product)
  • Proven experience in writing and submitting RFP responses independently
  • Expertise in conducting live product demos and POCs
  • Experience in both product selling and service-based solutioning
  • Strong documentation skills (proposals, decks, solution notes)
  • Ability to convert business requirements into practical product solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Someone who actually builds proposals, not just reviews them
  • Someone who takes demos end-to-end (no dependency)
  • Someone comfortable with tight deadlines and multiple RFPs
  • Someone who can handle clients directly without heavy supervision

Good to Have

  • Experience in B2B SaaS products
  • Exposure to enterprise clients
  • Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, or cloud environments
