PowerBI on Fabric

Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards aligned to business KPIs and stakeholder needs.

Build and optimize data models, including relationships, measures, and calculated columns using DAX best practices.

Implement data transformation and preparation using Power Query (M) to ensure clean, reliable datasets.

Develop and manage analytics workflows on Microsoft Fabric, supporting scalable and governed reporting solutions.

Configure and maintain semantic models, ensuring performance, reusability, and consistency across reports.

Apply security and governance practices such as Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace access controls, and dataset permissions.

Monitor and improve report performance through query optimization, model tuning, and visual best practices.

Partner with business users to gather requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver iterative enhancements.

Support deployment, refresh schedules, and troubleshooting for datasets, reports, and Fabric artifacts.

Document solutions, data definitions, and report usage guidance to improve adoption and maintainability. Minimum Qualifications:

Education: BTECH, MTECH, MCA, MSC.

3â€5 years of experience in BI/Analytics development with strong hands-on Power BI delivery.

Strong proficiency in DAX, data modeling concepts, and Power Query (M).

Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Fabric and/or Fabric-based BI implementations.

Experience building production-grade dashboards with attention to usability, accuracy, and performance.

Understanding of data governance fundamentals including access controls and RLS in Power BI.

Experience implementing end-to-end solutions on Microsoft Fabric (e.g., integrating data preparation, modeling, and reporting workflows).

Strong SQL skills for data validation, analysis, and performance troubleshooting across reporting pipelines.

Familiarity with Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse concepts and designing reporting-ready datasets for BI consumption.

Experience with deployment practices, environment management, and release coordination for BI assets.

Ability to drive stakeholder discussions, clarify ambiguous requirements, and propose practical analytics solutions.

Exposure to visualization standards, storytelling techniques, and accessibility-focused dashboard design.

Technical and Professional Requirements:

Good to have skills: SQL, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Dataflows Gen2, Row-Level Security (RLS)
