Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Power Sales Manager to lead our power sales and trading activities, including open access and bilateral transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the power market, excellent sales and negotiation skills, and experience in managing key customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the power market
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships, including CPGUs, industrial consumers, and DISCOMs
- Develop and execute sales strategies for power, including open access and bilateral transactions
- Analyse market trends, prices, and risks to optimize power sales and trading
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including trading, operations, and finance teams
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Energy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in power sales, trading, or related field
- Strong understanding of Indian power market, regulations, and policies
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience in managing key customer relationships and growing business
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Desired Skills:
- MBA or certification in Energy Management or related field
- Experience in power trading, open access, and bilateral transactions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of power market software and tools, such as Power Exchange, etc.
- Strong network of contacts in the power industry
