Job Description

Role Expectations

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
Create and optimize data models, including star and snowflake schemas
Develop complex DAX calculations and KPIs to extract actionable business insights
Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Perform data validation and resolve issues to ensure accuracy and performance
Implement row-level security and user-specific data access policies
Advise on Power BI governance, best practices, and self-service analytics strategies
Manage data refresh schedules and monitor report performance
Coordinate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in Power BI development
Expertise in advanced DAX and data modeling
Strong proficiency with Power Query/M language
Skilled in dashboard and report design with focus on user experience
Experience with Power BI Service and Power BI Report Server
Knowledge of row-level security, gateway setup, and deployment processes
Familiarity with Power BI REST API and embedding techniques
Proficient in writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
Experienced in data extraction, transformation, and integration using SQL
Comfortable working with large datasets and tuning for performance
