Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Power BI Developer to support a large-scale
SAP BO / Crystal Reports to Power BI migration program. The role involves redevelopment of enterprise reports for Capital Markets, Investment Management, Cash Management, and Pension business lines using Power BI, Dremio, and cloud-based Financial Data Lake (FDL) architecture.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in
Power BI report development, DAX, data modeling, report optimization, automation, testing, and cloud/on-prem data integration. Experience with
SAP BO/Crystal Reports reverse engineering,
Dremio, and automation tools such as
Power Automate, Power Apps, or Python is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and visualizations based on business requirements.
- Reverse engineer existing SAP BO / Crystal Reports and migrate them to Power BI.
- Design and implement Power BI data models, DAX calculations, and reporting best practices.
- Integrate data from cloud and on-premises sources through Dremio and Financial Data Lake (FDL).
- Develop unit test plans, integration test cases, and support UAT activities.
- Prepare and validate test datasets to ensure report accuracy and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve report logic issues, data mismatches, and performance bottlenecks.
- Implement report scheduling and automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, or related tools.
- Implement role-based access security (RLS) in Power BI reports.
- Optimize report refresh, DirectQuery, and data storage strategies.
- Collaborate with business, data engineering, and testing teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recommend automation and AI/ML-based improvements to reporting processes.
Required Skills & Experience- 8+ years of experience in Reporting and BI technologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.

- Data Visualization Best Practices
- Role-Based Access Security (RLS)
- Experience working with multiple data sources across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Working knowledge of:
- Dremio
- SAP BO / Crystal Reports
- Power BI Service
- Experience in report optimization, DirectQuery, and dataset refresh strategies.
- Good understanding of testing methodologies including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
